2021 Ford Explorer XLT Sport Appearance Package Coming Soon

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Ford Explorer continues to be one of the best selling SUVs in America. The 2020 Ford Explorer was redesigned from the ground up with a new rear-wheel drive platform, and for 2021 is getting more features, such as a new XLT Sport Appearance Package.

Coming to Capistrano Ford this summer, the 2021 Ford Explorer with the XLT Sport Appearance Package gets unique Carbonized Gray 20-inch wheels with a matching grille, skid plates and hood lettering. Sport Appearance models also receive dual chrome exhaust tips to complete the look.

The interior includes ActiveX Light Slate two-tone seats that feature accent stitching, and the center console lid and door trim panels are matching as well. Previous versions of the Sport Appearance Package have accounted for around one-quarter of Explorer XLT sales.

Ford has also found that one in five Explorer buyers are choosing the Ford Explorer ST, with many people trading in luxury vehicles from other brands. The 400-horsepower Explorer ST was designed with performance enthusiasts in mind, and offers exceptional power and handling not seen in a Ford Explorer before.

For additional information about the all-new Ford Explorer, come see us at Capistrano Ford in San Juan Capistrano, CA and take an Explorer for a test drive today.

Autotrader – Offers ‘Real World Review’ for 2017 Ford Explorer

It’s good to be the king — just ask the 2017 Ford Explorer.

A living legend of the American automaker’s lineup — as well as a permanent fixture of the full-size SUV segment — the Explorer’s one ride that most certainly has the right stuff.

And so, with that in mind, we encourage you to check the clip below. Here now with more on all things Explorer are our friends at Autotrader:

No doubt one of the more alluring engines across the Explorer catalog, the mid-level EcoBoost iteration is straight-up sublime.

Optional on the base and XLT trims and standard on the Limited, this turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder produces a peppy 280 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Standard fare includes a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive; all-wheel drive, meanwhile, is available as an option.

The main event of the EcoBoost, however, is fuel efficiency. When had in front-drive form, for instance, it’ll return a remarkable 22 mpg combined (19 city/27 highway).

So, what’s the delay, loyal reader? The time is now to experience the splendor of this SUV. As such, we invite you to pop by our San Juan Capistrano, CA facility, whereupon we’ll happily arrange a test drive in the Explorer, or any other Ford model that’s commanded your curiosity.
