Autotrader – Offers ‘Real World Review’ for 2017 Ford Explorer

September 3rd, 2021 by

It’s good to be the king — just ask the 2017 Ford Explorer.

A living legend of the American automaker’s lineup — as well as a permanent fixture of the full-size SUV segment — the Explorer’s one ride that most certainly has the right stuff.

And so, with that in mind, we encourage you to check the clip below. Here now with more on all things Explorer are our friends at Autotrader:

No doubt one of the more alluring engines across the Explorer catalog, the mid-level EcoBoost iteration is straight-up sublime.

Optional on the base and XLT trims and standard on the Limited, this turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder produces a peppy 280 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Standard fare includes a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive; all-wheel drive, meanwhile, is available as an option.

The main event of the EcoBoost, however, is fuel efficiency. When had in front-drive form, for instance, it’ll return a remarkable 22 mpg combined (19 city/27 highway).

So, what’s the delay, loyal reader? The time is now to experience the splendor of this SUV. As such, we invite you to pop by our San Juan Capistrano, CA facility, whereupon we’ll happily arrange a test drive in the Explorer, or any other Ford model that’s commanded your curiosity.
