2021 Ford F-150 Raptor is Most Capable Ever

September 3rd, 2021 by

Redesigned for the 2021 model year, the new Ford F-150 Raptor is the company’s most capable and connected Raptor ever. The 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor offers improved off-road capability thanks to a new rear suspension design, larger off-road tires and next-generation FOX shocks that feature Live Valve technology.

For over a decade, the Ford F-150 Raptor has been an off-road icon that can seemingly do it all. The new third-generation Raptor continues the legacy that was put in place by the previous Raptor desert racing-inspired trucks that have their roots in Baja 1000 racing.

While the new styling is the first thing you notice, the changes are more than skin deep. The 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor features a new five-link rear suspension with extra-long trailing arms, a Panhard rod and 24-inch coil springs. This allows for better axle positioning on rough terrain, better starts off the line, and more wheel travel allowing for first-in-class 37-inch tires.

Upgrades have also been made to the interior, which now has a standard, customizable 12-inch digital gauge cluster and new 12-inch center screen with SYNC 4 connectivity. 360-degree cameras allow for viewing of any obstacles on the trail, and the standard Trail 1-Pedal Drive lets you modulate throttle and brakes simultaneously to make rock crawling even easier. The 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor also comes with standard Trail Control, which is low-speed cruise control for more challenging off-roading.
